Molly took courses in animation in Harvard's department of Visual and Environmental Studies. She is skilled in Flash, After Effects, and Final Cut Pro. Her short "Wish You Were" took first prize in student animation at the 2005 New England Film Festival. She has studied with Ruth Lingford and Lorelei Pepi. She composed music for "Wish You Were" and for "The Next Lesson," an animation by Didi Mitova.
Her all-time favorite animators are Gaelle Denis and Michael Dudok de Wit.
